Role summary
Supports the human resources function in the implementation and execution of effective integrated human resource programs, policies and practices which help the assigned client group achieve their business results. Ensures that all policies and practices are enforced in a manner compliant with all applicable employment and other laws and regulations governing employer / employee relationships, for the population supported. Promotes a positive, productive, diverse, and supportive working environment and culture within the organization. Typically assigned to support one or more employee groups or units within the organization from a HR Generalist, operational, and tactical perspective. Primarily Interacts with management, as well as individual employees, on a wide variety of human resource and employment issues, communicating, interpreting, and clarifying company policies to the various parties involved, and advocates on behalf of employees and management as appropriate. Involved in a wide variety of issues and initiatives including staffing, induction, benefits, compliance, employee relations, training and development, performance management, disciplinary actions, change management, employee communications, effective complaint investigation and problem resolution, and ensuring fair employment practices through the equitable and consistent treatment of all employees. May enlist and leverage the services, resources, and support of specialists in other HR, Payroll, or Legal functions to assist in the design and with the development of solutions to identified needs and issues such as severance, employee retention, or employee development. Implements policies and practices that ensure that adequate and accurate records are maintained relative to an employee's ongoing performance, behavior, and relationship with the organization. May conduct incident investigations to gather and compile data on individual issues, coordinates sensitive communications, and makes recommendations for actions based on findings.
