Role summary

Responsible for the development and implementation of Public Relations strategies to promote the organization’s brand and image. Ensures that public relations efforts and campaigns secure a positive and favorable image of the company with the public and stakeholders. Demonstrates to peer management the return on investment in public relations activities due to the impact its credibility can have on a target audience. Requires an individual with a degree in journalism, communications, or a related discipline. Requires a detailed knowledge of the news production process in various media and related deadlines and schedules. Requires detailed knowledge of the structure and editorial positions of the trade and general media typically acquired through corporate communications or agency experience.
