Role summary
Working at the executive level, responsible for the vision, leadership and overseeing the execution of the company’s event planning strategy. Oversees planning and organizing corporate and other events which promote the image of the company’s overall or specific products, services, or public interest issues. Oversees event development including theme selection, budget development and management, venue selection, vendor selection and management, talent or speaker booking, and the management and coordination of the multiple details and people involved in implementing a successful event. In addition to ongoing coordination with the client before and during the event, also manages post event reviews to identify areas in need of improvement for future events. Ensures that events are compliant with legal, safety and other regulations. Develops metrics to evaluate the success of events. May have a particular expertise in several aspects of event planning. Requires experience in planning and implementing successful large-scale events.
