Role summary
Responsible for developing an appropriate strategy, policies and plans for the development, deployment and operation of cloud infrastructure. Must have a comprehensive understanding of emerging trends within the industry from both a technology and business and marketing perspective relative to the deployment of cloud infrastructure and benefits and limitations. Meets with peers in the Information Technology and Security function to determine how best to integrate cloud infrastructure with existing systems and to resolve issues such as physical and data security vulnerabilities, if any. Establishes a structure and provides policy guidance and direction to subordinate managers dealing with cloud engineering issues. Requires software development and cloud engineering experience, including the leadership and coordination of large, complex projects, critical to the business success of the organization.
