Role summary
Responsible for generating machine learning engineering and artificial intelligence strategies and objectives for the organization. Leveraging models developed by data scientists, develops strategies to build machine learning systems that automatically deliver artificial intelligence decisions and recommendations based on data without human intervention. In addition, responsible for machine learning engineering initiatives for a designated group of functions or other client groups. Works closely with the leadership of the assigned groups to fully understand their business context and challenges and to determine how best machine learning applications can contribute to the successful achievement of their business and functional objectives. This includes developing the policies, structures, and resources to effectively meet the prioritized needs. Negotiates overall service levels and delivery schedules with the client group’s management. Establishes the policies, process management concepts and structures, methodologies and the review and quality standards required to ensure that developed applications meet or exceed the client groups’ expectations. Requires Data Science, Machine Learning and/or Software development experience, including the leadership and coordination of large, complex projects, critical to the success of the organization.
