Role summary
Manages, directs, or supervises staff and the Manufacturing Process Engineering function. Develops and implements applicable policies and procedures, as well as manufacturing engineering methods and equipment process setup, testing, and processes Ensures required sequences, steps, and process specifications to fabricate and assemble parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies/products are properly executed to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency standards and operational goals are met or exceeded. Prioritizes work to administer workflow according to dynamic demands and ensures operational continuity and efficiency through scheduling and resource management. Monitors labor requirements to adapt to changes such as peaks or staffing issues, to ensure consistent quality, timeliness, and compliance with internal or regulatory standards and guidelines, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Maintains relationships and works with cross-functional teams to plan or proactively prevent or resolve problems causing slowdowns, interruptions or inefficiencies. Typically requires a degree in Engineering and related process manufacturing engineering experience.
