SVP Distribution Center

Role summary

Provides executive leadership and strategic direction for multiple Distribution and Fulfillment Centers nationally, regionally, or globally. Sets objectives to ensure company distribution objectives are met or exceeded at the lowest cost with high-quality standards while maintaining positive customer relations, satisfaction and superior service. Creates strategic plan, vision, and direction of distribution facilities to meet current and future needs of the overall company, regions and customers. Oversees applicable budgets, operational costs, and capital expenditures. Creates and measures Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive and enhance performance and service. Ensuring accountability, directs/oversees the reporting and accuracy of all facility metrics. Partners with peers in such departments as engineering, facilities and EHS to ensure the facility provides a safe work environment. Uses Lean Six-Sigma and Kaizen to streamline work processes, identify and eradicate bottlenecks, improve efficiencies and eliminate waste. Ensures that products delivered are stored in an organized manner, to maintain quality and ease of accessibility. Partners with sales and purchasing regarding errors in the supply chain process. Ensures plans are created and executed to ensure building security and loss prevention. Ensures distribution management maintains all center equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic, etc. Researches and implements essential industrial engineering, automation, process improvement and labor standards. Typically requires degrees in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related areas plus related Distribution or Supply Chain experience in large complex organizations.
