Role summary
Manages, directs, or supervises staff and the management, maintenance, and development of the licensing process. Develops systems, schedules, policies and procedures, and working through subordinate supervisors and specialists, manages new license processing, initial appointments, appointment renewals, corporate insurance licenses. Manages follow-up on rejections and terminations. Manages licensing administrative support including account updates, address changes, invoicing, and responding to business partner customer inquiries. Must keep abreast of changes in insurance licensing requirements and/or changes in laws, regulations, or company policies. Manages and assigns objectives to subordinate licensing specialists, supervisors and support staff performing licensing. Requires an understanding of contemporary licensing concepts and practices, and the associated laws and regulations governing these activities.
