Role summary

Responsible for the installation and maintenance of solar panel systems on rooftops or other structures, in solar farms, ensuring they are efficiently set up to capture solar energy. Conducts site evaluations to determine suitability. Installs solar panels, inverters, and other components of photovoltaic systems according to site plans and electrical diagrams, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local regulations. Performs regular maintenance checks and troubleshoots system malfunctions, to replace or repair parts. Performs system configuration and testing to verify system functionality, and ensures installations meet manufacturers' specifications and local codes. Customer service responsibilities include answering customer questions and providing instructions on system operation and maintenance. Qualifications: A High School or Vocational diploma is required, and completion of courses or certifications in solar energy technology, electrical engineering, or related fields. Depending on the region, a special license for solar PV installation may be required, in addition to a general electrician's license. Related Solar Installation and technical support experience is required.
