Role summary
Designs, tests, optimizes, and integrates electrical engineering power distribution systems used in wind technology, along with components in a challenging marine environment. Has a broad focus on electrical systems and equipment, including power distribution, control systems, and integration of renewable energy sources into the grid, within the context of specialized safety, quality, marine, and environmental standards, practices, and regulations. Works with the project team to achieve design and development timeline and goals according to demanding/complex offshore electrical standards and requirements. Troubleshoots problems and equipment related to power distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, and distribution lines. Develops control systems for monitoring and managing electrical equipment. Performs or oversees maintenance and repair work of support personnel. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, with knowledge of National Electrical Codes (NEC), and IEEE standards, plus relevant offshore Electrical Engineering experience as required. Additional Certifications may be required.
