Role summary
Manages, directs, or supervises staff and the development and implementation of Offshore Wind initiatives, operations, and management. Provides supervisory leadership to design, production, and support teams. Delivers reliable, efficient, and economical electrical renewable energy offshore wind service in a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible manner. Oversees daily operations and outage activities for maximum production and minimal downtime. Defines or implements policies and tactical goals to meet project, functional, departmental, divisional, and organizational objectives. This includes Environmental planning for specific coastal OSW, and demo project operations. Creates or implements the organizational structure for designated multi-year timeline(s) and resource plans. May provide commercial support for Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) negotiation and/or other contracts. Supervises, directs, or manages the development and implementation of procedures for workforce transitions for Direct Electrical Energy (DE) employees. Develops operating metrics, processes and procedures for inspections and ensures successful operations of preventive and emergency maintenance. Determines costs and develops/implements budgets for contractors, supply needs, and logistics for ship to shore or helicopter to shore. Works on such system interfaces as Small and Medium (SME), Monitoring & Diagnostic (M&D), and Access Platforms or Rescue (APR) systems. Ensures implementation of all safety and quality standards, protocols, and controls including cyber security of systems. Ensures and/or oversees compliance with Federal, State, Environmental, and Electrical regulatory bodies, and/or other environmental or Marine regulations. May work with executive leadership on community press releases and presentations. Qualifications: Requires a related specialized engineering or technical degree(s) and applicable years of specialized Offshore Wind Farm Management and Marine related Operations experience. May require advanced degrees and Certifications.
