Role summary

Manages, directs, or supervises staff and the effective implementation of change management strategies. Focuses on the executive leadership aspect of the talent development process. Assists in the development of organizational and individual strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Develops programs, processes and methodologies to identify, assess and develop future senior leaders of the organization (e.g., Top 200 or 150 programs), or change management intervention plans. Proactively identifies and recommends change management strategies, estimates costs/benefits, and manages the coordination of facilitation of plans and activities, working through staff or external consultants. Evaluates internal /external resources and works effectively with collaborators to ensure objectives are met. May coach manage or executives on highly confidential and sensitive matters and oversee special studies and evaluations. Specific responsibilities may include: executive, leadership/talent assessment, gap analysis, recommendation and implementation of development or rotational assignments, individual coaching and counseling, and the individual tailoring of leadership curriculum. Manages or conducts group assessment sessions and has major input to the hiring or retention of outside consultants and specialists. Collaborates with and advises management, senior management or executive leaders within the organization, to provide briefings on talent management and succession planning, and other critical matters impacting organizational change, stability, or well-being. Typically requires an advanced degree in a behavioral or related discipline and experience in Executive Leadership Development programs in a large complex organization.
