Senior Expert Onshore Wind QA and Control Engineer

Role summary

Ensures the engineering quality and reliability of the wind farm's infrastructure, from the initial design and manufacturing of turbines, components, and substations to their installation and operational maintenance on land. Implements quality control processes, conducts inspections, and ensures compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements to maximize the efficiency and safety of onshore wind farms. Stays updated with industry-specific standards and regulations, focusing on land-based environmental and safety protocols. Conducts inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and processes to identify defects or deviations from specifications and quality standards for both internal or external vendors or sources. Implements QA/QC policies, procedures, and processes to ensure predefined quality standards and regulatory requirements are met or exceeded. Analyzes quality data and feedback to develop strategies for reducing waste and enhancing efficiency and safety. Implements corrective actions and ensures continuous improvements. Monitors and ensures compliance with international and local standards, such as ISO standards and specific onshore wind regulations. Qualifies suppliers and contractors, conducts audits, and reviews supplier quality systems and performance. Maintains accurate records of quality data, inspections, audits, corrective actions, and compliance activities, reporting on issues, trends, and performance indicators. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field is required. Experience in quality engineering or management, preferably in the onshore wind farm industry or related fields such as other renewable energies, is required. Certifications like Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB), or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) may be beneficial.
