Senior Expert Construction Engineer- Offshore

Role summary

Plans, designs, and oversees the execution of construction activities to ensure that the offshore renewable energy infrastructure is built to meet project specifications and regulatory requirements. Provides structural and mechanical engineering expertise in the design and oversight of offshore construction project needs, ensuring that renewable energy projects are constructed safely, efficiently, and within budget and schedule constraints. Utilizing or overseeing Computer Aided Design (CAD) methods and techniques, provides technical oversight of construction activities such as construction drawings and specifications. Develops construction plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project managers and other stakeholders. Implements policies and procedures and provides engineering solutions to ongoing technical problems or issues. Procures materials, equipment, and services necessary for construction activities. Keeps abreast of OSHA and related regulatory or environmental requirements, as well as industry construction standards. Evaluates and selects materials to ensure corrosion protection. Collaborates with site teams and contractors and resolves technical problems throughout all phases of construction, as they arise. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in mechanical or Structural Engineering, or a related Engineering field, plus any applicable certifications as required, and applicable experience in Offshore or Marine Engineering. A professional engineering license (PE) is preferred.
