Role summary
Designs, develops, and improves electrical components and systems. Working on solar panels, inverters, battery storage systems, and the integration of these systems into the power grid. Works with Project teams to ensure solar projects are designed, implemented, and operated to meet the highest standards of electrical safety and performance. Maximizes safety, efficiency, and the sustainability of solar energy projects. Selects components and configurations to optimize energy production and efficiency. Develops solar power system integration solutions with the existing electrical grid, ensuring compatibility, stability, and compliance with grid interconnection standards. Utilizes simulation and modeling tools for performance analysis. Oversees QA/QC testing, installation, and commissioning of solar systems. Troubleshoots electrical problems to minimize downtime and maintain maximum efficiency. Keeps abreast and ensures electrical designs and installations comply with national and international standards, codes, and regulations. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in electrical Energy is required. An advanced degree in Solar Energy is preferred. Related EE Solar experience is required along with requisite Certifications such as a Professional Engineer (PE) license or certifications from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
