Role summary
Develops and produces a wide variety of communications supporting the overall corporate communications plan. In addition to contributing to the overall corporate communications initiatives, may be responsible for communications relative to specific lines of business. In consultation with line management, designs multi-phase communications programs. May draft and circulate press releases and media kits in support of these campaigns and serve as the primary media contact for them. In addition, may also plan and organize special events in support of those initiatives and may attend them as the main company representative. Requires a detailed knowledge of the structure and editorial positions of the trade and general media typically acquired through corporate communications or agency experience. Typically requires a degree in journalism, communications or a related discipline.
