Role summary
Leveraging analytical skills and knowledge, supports the compensation function in the design, implementation and ongoing management of general or specific compensation programs and initiatives. May have a corporate wide role or be assigned to support one or more client groups, depending on scale and complexity. Provides ongoing operational support to management and HR generalists on a wide variety of compensation related issues including, job role definitions, job grading or slotting, identification and selection of appropriate market peers, marketing pricing of single or multiple positions, job offers, interpretation of policy guidelines, development of alternative scenarios using spreadsheets or other tools, providing explanations to individual employees or groups of employees, and a full range of other actions. May maintain corporate standards and templates for job descriptions, titling conventions, and plan documentation and rules for multiple incentive plans. May evaluate and select various market data sources and manage the survey participation process. Additionally, may be involved in various ad hoc projects intended to solve specific problems and may take a leading analysis role in them.
