Intermediate Staffing/Recruiting Assistant

Role summary

Provides administrative, technical, communication, and clerical support to assist with the HR Staffing and Recruitment function. Works closely with the internal/external professional recruitment/staffing team and management to provide support as needed on confidential recruiting and hiring matters, plans, status, activities, and special projects. Assists with the creation of job postings and advertising job openings on various job boards, social media, and other related recruitment platforms. Reviews job posting descriptions and may be responsible for screening applications and resumes to determine whether prospective candidates meet key job requirements. Schedules and coordinates candidate interviews, sets up the logistics and schedules with hiring managers/personnel, and communicates interview details with prospective candidates to ensure all goes smoothly. Following company policies and procedures, may call past employers to assist with the employment verification process and may conduct reference checks. Tracks candidate progress and maintains accurate status records throughout the process including interview feedback, job offers or counteroffers, and acceptance rates. Creates, maintains, and updates recruitment data and reports that may include data such as recruitment costs, time-to-fill metrics, and candidate sourcing information. May assist in planning and coordinating job fairs, campus recruiting events, and other recruitment-related activities. May assist with onboarding processes, such as new hire paperwork, orientation, and training as required. A High School Degree is typically required however An Associate’s Degree may be preferred, along with prior HR or customer facing experience.
