Role summary
Guided by strategy and policies, responsible for handling field property claims resulting from a catastrophe. Responsibilities include working with outside independent adjusters, evaluating & reviewing damage, determining the value of the claim, preparing estimates of identified damages, determining costs of repairs with contractors, and settling or denying claims. Must document claims and prepare reports. Collaborates with both internal resources such as investigators, inside counsel, as well as external resources, such as vendor services, agencies, insureds, claimants, outside counsel and other parties, while ensuring high customer satisfaction. Must have negotiation skills and a background in legal and CAT claims concepts required for the resolution of claims. Must have solid computer and documentation skills. Requires a degree and relevant experience.
