Role summary
Provides administrative, technical, and clerical support to assist with the HR Compensation function. Works closely with the Compensation management and professional team to provide support as needed on confidential Compensation administration matters, plans, programs, data, and special projects. Assists with tasks such as data entry, data analysis, preparing compensation reports, and maintaining compensation records. Organizes, processes, and batches sensitive and confidential materials or transactions supporting broad Compensation activities. May conduct market research and gather data on compensation rates and trends to ensure that the organization's compensation packages are competitive. Frequently communicates with executives, managers, or employees with general questions about Compensation programs and resources such as job descriptions, training schedules and meetings, and policies, procedures, plans, methods, or materials. Responds to internal or external inquiries, interprets customer or vendor needs, provides information, or escalates and refers inquiries to appropriate personnel. May answer phones and tend to clerical tasks such as filing, or drafting correspondence, presentations, or updating records and department files. Interacts with staff from such adjunct areas such as Payroll, HR, Finance, or other departments. May help administer Merit, Promotion, Bonus or Stock plans and programs, and provides information regarding approval requirements or employee status. Ensures legal and policy compliance and smooth administrative coordination within and between departments. May perform initial Compensation Analysis activities or survey participation according to guidelines. A High School Degree is required however An Associate’s Degree is preferred, along with prior HR or customer facing experience.
