Role summary
Provides senior level administrative support within a department and may be assigned to one more executives (Deputy GC or Assistant GC) who typically report to a General Counsel & Corporate Secretary. May develop templates for own use and for use by others to process routine legal departmental correspondence and documents. Routinely exposed to confidential information and is required to maintain absolute discretion in these matters. Typically maintains the schedule of the executive(s) supported. An in-depth knowledge of office productivity software and internal company administrative systems is required. Requires thorough familiarity with the legal department's terminology. Other tasks may include making travel arrangements, event planning, expense tracking, meeting coordination, guest / VIP reception, call screening, and other tasks for the supported senior staff. Incumbents will generally have 5 or more years of administrative work experience, a high school degree, and may have an Associates or undergraduate degree. Does not require being a qualified paralegal.
