Entry Onshore Construction Worker

Role summary

Responsible for building and installing the infrastructure necessary for onshore wind energy generation. Site preparation includes clearing land, leveling terrain, and preparing foundations for wind turbines and associated infrastructure. Applies basic engineering principles, construction techniques, and blueprints or schematics related to wind energy infrastructure. Proficiently uses hand and power tools, operates heavy machinery, and performs construction tasks safely and efficiently. Assembles and installs wind turbine components such as towers, nacelles, rotor blades, and electrical systems, as directed, for foundations. Infrastructure installation requires installing roads, electrical cables, substations, and other infrastructure requirements that support Wind Farm operations. Adheres to safety and compliance policies, procedures, and regulations, and prevents accidents and injuries. Communicates and collaborates with construction, engineering, and other team members to communicate progress, promote safety, and ensure project milestones are met. Qualifications: A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Additional vocational training or certifications in construction-related fields are preferred. Specific licenses and/or completion of OSHA courses or certification may be required. A commercial driver's license (CDL) for operating heavy machinery or specialized certifications for working at heights, or in confined spaces may be required.
