Role summary
Supervises, manages, or directs solar energy engineering projects from conception through completion. Ensures they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Keeps abreast of building codes related to solar installations. Plans, manages, and oversees the modeling and simulation of solar energy systems, including PV and Thermal Systems. Oversees research, feasibility, and energy production studies, ensuring the utilization of best practices in tools, materials, automation methods, and techniques, to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in system performance. Plans, executes, and closes solar energy projects. Ensures the coordination of project teams, including engineers, installers, and subcontractors. Develops and manages budgets, forecasts, and costs, and identifies and mitigates risks. Monitors project(s) progress, adjusting as necessary. Develops policies and procedures and keeps abreast of solar, environmental, safety, and related regulatory requirements to ensure group implementation and compliance. Oversees documentation and system maintenance, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity measures, and develops reports and reporting criteria at all levels. Serves as an advisor to senior management to assist with the achievement of short- and long-term goals. Qualifications: A BS or MS in EE, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering is required. Additional related experience and relevant certifications (e.g., NABCEP PV Installation Professional) may be required. Related technical and specialized Solar management experience is required.
