Role summary
Manages, directs, or supervises the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems within onshore wind farms. Oversees electrical engineering development from design concept through operations. Reviews and approves drawings, design specifications, and documentation of electrical systems. May include substations, cabling, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution systems for Onshore wind turbines and associated infrastructure. Monitors EE activities to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met, ensuring successful design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems for onshore wind farms according to regulatory standards. Collaborates with cross-functional development teams and operations to ensure seamless project execution. Provides support and approvals for procurement including vendor selection and equipment specification. Develops or implements policies, procedures, budgets, and standards, consistent with management goals, onshore Industry requirements, standards, and regulatory requirements. Develops innovative solutions to mitigate risks and to optimize electrical system performance and reliability. Keeps abreast of emerging trends in onshore wind technology, and power systems, grid integration, and renewable energy technologies. Qualifications: A bachelor's or advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required. A PE License or equivalent Certification is required. Additional EE supervisory experience is required.
