Role summary
Manages, directs, or supervises the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems for offshore wind farms. Reviews and approves specifications for substations, cabling, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution systems for offshore wind turbines and associated infrastructure. Ensures electrical project objectives and deadlines are met with successful design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, procurement, and operations to ensure seamless project execution. Provides input and approvals for procurement including vendor selection and equipment specification. Maintains relationships with key stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities and ensures compliance with corporate goals and all regulatory requirements. Keeps abreast of emerging trends in offshore wind and renewable energy technologies, engineering, and knowledge of power systems and grid integration. Qualifications: A bachelor's or advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required along with a PE License. Additional certifications may be required or preferred. Several years of combined Electrical Engineering and management experience is required.
