Role summary
Develops and improves the company's manufacturing engineering processes by applying an understanding of manufacturing engineering theory, methods, and specialized production and design processes. Applies an understanding within the technical specialization area as applicable to specialized product needs, and works on assignments, researching issues that may fall outside the technical capability. Selects and chooses efficient process methods and approaches. Analyzes product specifications, parts drawings, and other related engineering data, and demonstrating an understanding of how work impacts adjacent technical areas. May develop new production processes, phases, and estimates time requirements for each step to prepare operational standards and guidelines. Assists with the analysis of the existing production processes and makes recommendations on how to reduce risks, costs and waste, while increasing yield, productivity and quality of final products. Typically requires a degree in Engineering.
