Role summary

Responsible for focusing on talent management, succession planning, change management, communications, and the executive leadership aspect of the talent development process. Partners with HR and line management in designated groups to assess a variety of complex issues and needs. Implements policies, procedures, plans, and programs to execute change management, organizational, and leadership development strategies. Drafts methods, criteria definitions, guidelines, plans, and materials supporting management development needs. Assists in the development of programs, processes and methodologies to identify, assess and develop future senior leaders of the organization (e.g., Top 200 or 150 programs), or specialized interventions to achieve strategies. May personally coach executives, dealing with highly confidential and sensitive matters, and may oversee special projects, studies and evaluations. Specific responsibilities may include: executive, leadership, and talent assessment, gap analysis, and resource identification and evaluation. Develops strategy recommendations and implements plans such as rotational assignments, individual coaching and counseling, or the individual tailoring of leadership curriculum. Conducts group assessment and coaching sessions and collaborates with outside consultants and specialists. Interacts with peers and others in HR management to partner on needs, to gather information, and to disseminate policy or program information. Typically requires an advanced degree in a behavioral or related discipline and Organizational Development/Executive Leadership programs in a large complex organization.
