Role summary
Supports both the Subsidiary and Human Resources Executive(s) for all Human Resources functions by establishing, recommending, and overseeing the implementation of broad HR objectives, programs and effective human resource strategies and policies to help the assigned Subsidiary achieve business results. Typically works remotely from the Corporate function, operating with substantial latitude for Subsidiary HR matters. Serves as an adviser to peer level Directors and Executives on a wide variety of human resource issues (organizational, behavioral, compliance and legal, etc.) and challenges. May be involved in planning and implementing organizational and staffing changes based on business conditions or resulting from mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and reductions in force. May also be involved in monitoring and evaluating post implementation performance to ensure successful long term outcomes. Expected to demonstrate initiative to develop new policies or challenge existing ones to enhance the overall effectiveness of the assigned groups. May engage and work closely with peer levels and executives in other adjunct and specialized areas and functions (e.g., Compensation, Staffing, Talent Development, Subsidiary/Corporate Finance, etc.) where needed to accomplish a specific business or organizational objective. May work with executives in interpreting recommendations and in determining how best to implement them. Ensures compliance with all appropriate HR statutes and regulations as they apply to its role in the assigned group. The overall goal is to ensure that the organization is seen as an "employer of choice" in its respective market for talent. This is a single incumbent position.
