Role summary
Guided by accounting strategy and policies, responsible for analysis and reporting of financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Responsibilities may include preparation of monthly P&L and other financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, analyzing revenues, commissions and expenses for monthly reports, preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory filings, documentation, and monitoring accounting controls, and analyzing payroll expense variations. Depending on level, may conduct preliminary reviews of reports completed by less experienced team members and approves or makes recommendations to management. Typically requires a professional accounting qualification, such as a CPA.
