Role summary
Manages, directs, or supervises staff and the development of QA standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of production processes for company products. This may involve the inspection or analysis of sequences, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability against standards. Interprets and executes short- and long-term objectives and strategies, ensuring adherence to company, divisional, and regional QA policies and procedures. Drafts and implements policies and procedures, and develops QA protocols and techniques to design, implement, and maintain QA methods to process materials into finished or partially finished products. Evaluates and manages protocol implementation compliance with internal/external safety, quality, distribution, and regulatory standards. Develops budgets, operational plans, sets priorities, assigns, and oversees work, and develops and evaluates talent to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure operational continuity. Reviews and evaluates technical performance needs, reports, and findings and determines or approves schedules, equipment, and resources required for in-process or final QA testing. Writes or approves reports evaluating standard or specialized methods to ensure the highest level of quality compliance. Works with cross-functional leadership teams and integrates and coordinates with adjacent operational areas for planning, and to proactively prevent or resolve problems. Ensures adherence to approved methods to sustain production with cost reduction, quality, and yield improvements. Requisitions and monitors equipment for operability, capacity, and supplies, and develops schedules and labor requirements to adapt to such changes as peaks or staffing issues.
