Manager Accounting

Role summary

Manages, directs, or supervises staff and the development and implementation of the accounting function. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining the company’s chart of accounts and for the accounting information systems necessary to support them. Implements policies relative to such items as accounting controls, revenue recognition, risk management, assets reporting, and related matters. Manages subordinate financial reporting staff on issues such as the maintenance of the general ledger and other ledgers, coordination of financial statements, preparation of the annual report, management of accounts payables and accounts receivables, bank reconciliations, processing of payroll, and oversight over all financial transactions. Requires a seasoned and independent manager with an accounting or finance degree and professional qualification.
