Role summary
Trains new and existing employees in a contact center environment to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality customer service. The scope of training covers all types of interactions using various channels including phone calls, emails, chat, text messaging, social media, and more. Training may also include product or service knowledge, call handling techniques, and customer service skills. Demonstrates proficiency in using software and tools such as learning management systems, or other relevant training or customer service software. Keeps abreast of changes and develops and updates training materials, including manuals, presentations, resources, and interactive activities. Assesses training needs of new hires and existing employees; develops and executes training plans that may include classroom instruction, one-on-one coaching, and on-the-job training to address those needs. Monitors trainee progress and provides performance feedback. Evaluates the effectiveness of training methods and programs and makes improvement recommendations. Works with other departments to assure set and evaluate training goals and objectives. A Bachelor’s degree in Education, adult learning, Business, or a related field is necessary, along with specialized Contact Center Experience.
