Role summary
Performs detailed day-to-day clerical, administrative, and technical support activities in the Accounts Receivable department. This may include working with inside or outside customers on outstanding invoices yet to be collected, recording and cataloguing amounts due, verifying, and processing transactions, monitoring incoming payments, and spotting accounting discrepancies. Sets up new accounts on the system and follows Accounts Receivable policies and procedures related to transaction processing. Performs basic bookkeeping, cross-references information such as orders, and follows basic accounting principles. May apply cash, perform customer service outreach and follow-up, and may issue invoices, and coordinate on queries and correspondence related to past due or problematic transactions/collections. Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED and related experience.
