Role summary
Responsible for the leadership and oversight of Supply Chain and Logistics. Develops and implements the Supply Chain and Logistics (SCL) strategy to support business goals, objectives, and operations of the company. Works closely with the leadership of Marketing, Sales, Operations and Manufacturing to identify expectations relative to cost savings and performance standards. Accountable for the design and planning of the SCL infrastructure, performance, and quality standards, policies, processes and service level agreements across an array of locations and facilities. Drives the management and achievement of short, and long- term SCL strategic and tactical goals and objectives, controlling such issues as sales forecasting, operations planning, sourcing, procurement, materials handling, inventory management, production planning, warehousing and related logistics, transport, and distribution. Additionally, evaluates and selects specialized technology needed to effectively manage and control the supply chain and logistics processes for efficiency, quality and maximum cost savings.
