Role summary

Develops or approves analysis findings relating to transportation and freight costs, routing options, and proposed carriers to determine maximum efficiency at lowest cost to satisfy customer and company needs and requirements. Manages and oversees activities of personnel working with vendors, customers, and carriers to resolve or coordinate solutions for such problems as misdirected or damaged goods. May also manage the coordination of import and export requirements, ensuring proper compliance. Typically, a degree in Traffic, Logistics or Supply Chain Management is required.
