VP Technical Sales-Retail

Role summary

Responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to translate complex products and services to solutions for existing and prospective clients. Services as the product expert and technical advisor to sales and marketing, product development, prospective clients and existing accounts. Works with account and sales teams to manage the pre-sales process with clients and provide the technical leadership throughout the opportunity lifecycle from initial qualification to closure of the deal. Serves as an executive sponsor for strategic customers. Performs client consultations to conduct workflow analysis and provide guidance to improve workflow efficiency; collect feedback for product enhancements or redesign, support maintenance of current product offerings. Develops proposals, presentations and strategies to grow sales of products and services. Provides thought leadership and service delivery roadmap to customers. Collaborates with product development to foster innovation and prioritization of technical initiatives that will drive sales and maintain product pipelines. Identifies opportunities for appropriate and cost-effective investment in technical solutions. Provides technical and architecture guidance for internal teams. Demonstrates proven ability to translate business requirements of clients into actionable solutions. Has deep technical knowledge and understanding of all aspects of products and that of competitors. Conveys technical issues in easy to understand terms to a broad range of audiences. Typically requires degrees in Business Engineering, Computer Science, Medicine or related studies plus Sales, Product Development, Research, Information Technology, Medicine, etc. experience in large complex organizations.
