VP Shared Services - Finance

Role summary

Responsible for the global leadership and management for the shared services function whose primary charge is to determine which global processes can achieve efficiencies through the use of centralization and system automation. Responsible for strategic planning, the modification and redefining of work processes, identification and training of skills required, policy and procedure development and implementation and the determination and evaluation of shared services goals and service level agreements. Develops and reviews policies, procedures and systems. Recommends and implements improvements for efficiency and quality. Ensures proper and adequate controls are in place to adhere to accuracy and compliance standards with all corporate policies. Optimizes the shared service functionality and shared services team to increase effectiveness and efficiency. Ensures effective communication between other functional areas (i.e., HR, IT) regarding any change and/or impact to team members or services. Common processes located in Shared Services include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, customer services, corporate card administration, travel and expense report processing, corporate event planning, 1099 preparation, etc. Typically requires degrees in Business, Finance, Accounting and Accounting or Finance experience in large complex organizations.
