Provides executive leadership, strategy and related plans for the internal audit function. Responsible for implementing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes and for providing consulting and assurance activities to support these goals. Makes recommendations regarding the reduction or elimination of identified risks. Provides support to management on its obligations under 302 & 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Depending on level, may have frequent interaction with the Board Audit Committee regarding these matters.
