Role summary
Responsible for providing leadership in the development, implementation, and oversight of standards, systems, policies, and procedures in alignment with organizational strategic initiatives for global facilities and maintenance. Responsible for ensuring all workforce facility needs are achieved while balancing budget and capital expenditure constraints. Ensures facilities reflect the corporate branding to support cultural initiatives. Responsible for forecasting current and future space requirements, estimating costs, developing construction schedules and timelines and ensuring project completion by managing facility crews, vendors and contractors. Plans and oversees large construction and renovation projects and all installations and refurbishments. Oversees all building functions and system security. Controls activities such as parking, building security, waste disposal, service contracts, vendor services, etc. May lead or participate in lease negotiations. May oversee additional corporate services such as mailroom, cafeteria services, vending machines, concierge services, reprographics and printing, etc. Typically requires degrees in Construction, Business or related studies plus Facilities and Maintenance experience in large complex organizations.
