Role summary
Responsible for formulating a security strategy for the assigned Division or Strategic Business Unit (SBU), consistent with the overall corporate security strategy. The objective of the strategy is to protect and secure Divisional / SBU executives, employees and guests as well as the financial, intellectual and physical assets of the division / SBU. Ensures that effective plans are developed to deal with both normal security situations and threats and crisis situations. Works closely with the corporate security function and with the intelligence and investigative functions to ensure that threats, risks, and losses are identified, evaluated, prioritized and acted upon in a timely fashion. Has responsibility for the development, monitoring and management of the Divisional / SBU security operations budget. Responsible for establishing an organization and infrastructure to effectively match the challenges faced by the Division or SBU. Requires an executive with experience and demonstrated success in a private or public sector organization of equivalent size and complexity.
