Role summary
Provides vision, control, and oversight to an executive leadership team or Operating Committee in an independent corporation responsible for domestic and/or global operations. Responsible for inspiring, leading, integrating, and overseeing all aspects of the Business Development functional integration with the overall business. Sets direction to ensure attainment of financial and strategic goals to maximize profits and return on invested capital. Determines vision, mission, and formulates current and long-term strategic Business Development goals, plans, and objectives, and ensures compliance and implementation. Approves final high impact decisions and actions and represents the organization in relations with key stakeholders such as customers, investors, regulatory bodies, financial community and employees. Typically requires an MBA and related Executive, Sales, Business Development or M&A/Financial experience.
