Role summary
Responsible for strategic leadership of the Pricing function. Responsible for defining, developing and implementing pricing strategies and policies that align with the business objectives of the organization. Collaborates with marketing, sales and product/services teams to develop strategies and approaches for the company’s products and services. Analyzes market trends, pricing in the external marketplace, such as competitor pricing, seasonal changes in pricing, discounting, customer’s willingness to pay, and overall customer spending patterns. Also develops internal pricing models that consider product costs such as labor, materials, distribution, and contracts to evaluate price against actual expenses and budgets. Must have a strong financial analysis background and be able to review complex spreadsheet models, charts, graphs, and key performance indicators (KPI’s) to track pricing effectiveness. Typically requires strong financial analysis and/or marketing experience.
