Role summary
Responsible for leadership and oversight of the IT Audit function. Develops and implements an IT audit strategy in support of overall audit function objectives to test and evaluate IT systems relative to their documentation, control, security, and validity. Evaluates the risks associated with noncompliance on IT systems. Establishes and develops an organization of IT audit managers and professionals which will effectively implement the IT strategy. Consults with senior management regarding the results of IT audit reports and works with them regarding the implementation and testing of any remedial actions required. Supports the overall audit function regarding the implementation and ongoing support of the provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act as they apply to the IT audit functions’ role in the organization.
