Role summary
Responsible for developing and implementing an integrated and coordinated e-commerce strategy for the organization, to support its overall revenue and commercial B2B, B2C, B2G, and m-commerce objectives. Critically evaluates existing and emerging concepts and technologies relative to e-commerce and determines the most effective long-range strategy and architecture based on the marketing and distribution objectives of the enterprise. This includes all aspects of the infrastructure supporting commerce websites, intra and extra net structures, social media deployment, mobile solutions, and e-commerce operations. Determines the most appropriate mix of internal development and vendor designed and supplied solutions and how best to integrate them. Requires Information Technology leadership experience, including comprehensive knowledge of both the Internet and related technologies as well as the marketing and commercial imperatives of the organization.
