Role summary
Manages, directs, or supervises staff and the development and implementation of Warehouse operations. Applying demand flow principles and practices, manages activities in a plant(s) or facility(s) that may include either or both Inbound and Outbound Operations. May oversee the processing of inventory returns and manages quality control. Utilizing ERP Systems, plans workforce and expenses based on production forecasts and changes. Develops schedules to ensure coverage, safety and manages labor to contain costs and overtime needs. Conducts pre-shift and other meetings to communicate business needs. Analyzes and develops metrics and trends such as delivery performance, working capital, and material margins to recommend changes in fulfillment capabilities. May lead and improve parts distribution practices and network optimization including picking, packing, and shipping (PPS). Develops improvement goals and procedures for Demand Planning/Management to align financial, operation and material plans. Establishes and drives positive communication channels between cross functional teams.
