Role summary

Responsible for pricing research and analysis and provides pricing recommendations to maximize revenue and profit for the company’s products and services. Analyzes prices in the external marketplace, such as competitor pricing, seasonal changes in pricing, discounting, customer’s willingness to pay, and overall consumer spending patterns. Analyzes internal pricing models that consider product costs such as labor, materials, distribution, and contracts to evaluate prices against actual expenses and budgets. May also manage and update pricing databases to track current and historical pricing of the company’s products and of its competitors. Must be able to develop advanced spreadsheet models, charts, graphs, and develop key performance indicators (KPI’s) to track pricing effectiveness. Typically requires a financial analysis background and experience.
