Role summary
Manages, directs, or supervises staff and implementation of IT Quality Assurance and Compliance programs within the function and to promote a quality culture for IT. Participates in meetings with IT leadership designed to enlist their support for Quality initiatives in order enhance the success and adoption of these programs within the function. Manages the analysis and evaluation of the current state to identify quality gaps and the need for new metrics, standards, processes, and evaluation points to enhance overall quality performance. Supports and promotes the adoption of established Quality methodologies such as Six Sigma, where appropriate. May meet with peer level managers of the various sub-functions of IT to plan the detailed implementation of quality goals and standards and to identify any legitimate resistance to proposed changes in standards, or procedures. Manages the Quality Audit processes and programs to monitor compliance with quality standards and to identify needed corrective actions, or the need for additional training, where required. Typically requires a degree in Computer Science or in Quality Assurance principles IT quality assurance and quality monitoring experience in a large and complex IT function.
