Role summary
Manages, directs, or supervises staff and implementing the project management structure and processes for one or more cross-functional IT projects, in order to cost effectively meet IT and business objectives. Project manages one or more projects focused on areas such as business analysis, software development, and systems implementation. In addition to IT peers, works closely with business unit clients to coordinate major schedules, project budgets, project milestones, and ultimate project deliverables. Evaluates the resources needed to accomplish the objectives within the agreed timeframe and establishes the staffing plan for each project, using a combination of internal and contract expertise. Utilizes Project Management methodologies to manage the projects, incorporate and track changes, and optimize on resource deployment. Requires the communication skills necessary to build commitment to the projects and negotiate compromises, and resolve conflicts, as needed. Conducts operational meetings throughout the course of the project to provide feedback and get input from key stakeholders. Requires progressive delivery and management of IT projects. May have a background in consulting or big 4 accounting firms.
