Role summary
Manages, directs, or supervises staff and control of the contract administration function. Manages the negotiation, preparation, monitoring, and termination of contracts and subcontracts between the company and customers/vendors ensuring the fulfillment of contractual obligations. Responsible for the conduct of all contract liaison and coordination before, during, and after contract termination. Keeps abreast of and applies an in-depth knowledge of statutory requirements influencing contract development and administration. Develops and administers contract administration policies, systems, procedures, and methods. Manages and coordinates contract administration activities to ensure that contractual obligations are maintained in a manner which ensures positive customer/vendor relations while representing the interest of the company. Advises management of contract obligations, deficiencies, commitments, and performance. Provides interpretation of terms and conditions of contractual obligations. Coordinates pre-award negotiations between company and customer/ vendors. Analyzes impact of modifications and revisions and prepares company recommendations. Conducts special studies, investigations or analyses and provides for the preparation of reports and recommendations. Typically requires prior Supervisory, Project, or Management experience.
