Supports the technical e-Commerce function by conceptualizing the overall e-commerce architectural framework for high traffic, revenue producing websites. The e-commerce environment consists of a complex configuration of database backed sites, with full commercial features including inventory management and payment and accounting features. It also consists of a hybrid configuration of internally developed applications and databases with some vendor supplied technologies and solutions. Responsible for clarifying the business requirements and for translating them into fully documented technical specifications and requirements. Leverages a comprehensive knowledge of e-commerce technical concepts, enterprise application technologies, and best practices in framing a roadmap and designing solutions. Considerations of security, compliance and quality assurance are also included in the design. Requires a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and progressive IT relational database, and complex web and e-commerce design, configuration, performance measurement and integration management in a large complex organization
